Malaysian Christians Feel Very Much Bullied

I'm a very frustrated Roman Catholic that feels angered by certain people who have seeked Malay political miledge by bullying Malaysian Christians.

(1), We Never ever questioned Islam or The PM's Seat being reserved by UMNO. The headlines in papers few days ago read; 'Christians not challenging Islam', it should have been; 'Christians NEVER Challenged Islam'

(2), The growing sense of insecurity by some Muslim leaders have reached a very ignorant level whereby they feel that every non Malay race wants to challenge them, it's a blatant lack of education really.

(3) We are not desperate to "take over" this country, it would never be in our best interest to do so.

(4) our initial applications for building churches were rejected in non Muslim areas and we were allocated lands in industrial areas!

(5) Malay reporters came into our church, took part in Holy Communion and spat it out in front of Catholics and The AG brushed it aside as "Ignorance"

(6) Time and time again there have been 'authorities' coming into church to spy if we have Malays in our churches but in actual fact those "Malays" were Sabahan & Sarawakian Christians.

(7) The Ringing of our Church Bells have been an issue by some Malays before.

(8) The Bible being one of the five books of Islam is deemed 'Kafir' and dangerous to Muslims.

(9) The Statues of our Missionary Schools have been removed without our permission because it was seen as 'Evil' by some Malays.

(10) A Sanction from the PM's dpt for our Archbishop to remove all Catholic statues, prayers and arts for the arrival of PM to a Christmas Open House.

(11) Not approving burial land despite the rising demand since 20 years ago.

(12) Claiming that our private Christmas open houses are non halal which means subjecting us to their benchmark of culture and morality.

(13) latest, summoning cars parked around church areas during Sunday Service despite the fact that at Bukit Nanas, we own most of the land which we obtained from British Malaya. However cars are allowed to park freely (including flyovers) during Muslim Friday Prayers.

These are some of the many ways in which we are continuously bullied. We are silenced and pragmatically persecuted without violence but with very strong hints of racial and religious tensions and now a call for Crusaders against Christianity by Ibrahim Ali. An 'Apology' to Christians is strongly seen as an Insult To Islam.

SABAK BERNAM: Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali does not represent the Malays and Muslims in the country and neither does he have a majority behind him to wage a crusade against Christians, said Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

“Just like Osama bin Laden, Ibrahim does not represent all Muslims,” the Home Minister said after opening the Sungai Besar Umno division delegates meeting here yesterday.

Reports have quoted the Malay rights group leader as saying he would wage a crusade against Christians if they continued to challenge Islam's position in the country.

Speaking at a function organised by the Komuniti 1Malaysia group of Kampung Kerdas and Kampung Changkat in Gombak recently, Ibrahim had accused Christians of “challenging the sovereignty and dignity of Malays and Muslims.”

His remarks followed a controversial Utusan Malaysia report last week that a group of pastors were plotting to make Christianity the country's official religion and to appoint a Christian prime minister.

A news portal quoted Ibrahim as saying: “If they want a crusade, so be it. If they say the peace that we enjoy is not good enough we shall take up the challenge.”

my Christians friends are frustrated over this as well. but I DO think that my generation of people are more open-minded and fair and together we'll hopefully shape a better future together. this injustice can't go on! it's really unfair.

Time and time again we are bullied. Yet we have been very patient and submissive. But we have come to our limits. As of yesterday there have been calls for non muslims to be thrown out of the country. Why is this happening? Simply because History Of Malaya has been altered to favour their stupidity, fear and inferiority complex.

These bigot choose to be ignorant about the fact that it was all races and religions that won Merdeka from the British. Our ancestors sold their belongings including gold to obtain Merdeka.

At times i feel that 'Merdeka' was a big mistake. We would have been better of with the British in terms of Education, Good Governance, Democracy and The Performing Arts.
