Malaysia Highly Slams & Discriminates LGBT Community

Malaysia has proven disrespect to Privacy, Freedom Of Speech & Human Rights For the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community and The Authorities including the Government are highly ignorant about the huge population of the LGBT Community to have a large population of high flyers serving this nation.

Seksualiti Merdeka is NOT about Free Sex as reported last night by RTM Stations. It's about Human Respect, Dignity and Human Rights as a whole. It doesn't touch on anyone's religion. There are some draconian & ignorant beings out there who purposely twist the facts and make it sound as some kind of orgy. Every human being is equal and has Human Rights, not to be discriminated, mocked or harmed. This is what the organization is fighting for, Laws that discriminate the LGBT must be abolished. Every Malaysian must be given a place under the Malaysian Sun. Everyone has the right to privacy and lifestyle.

Everyone has the right to think, choose and craft his/her own life, it should never be determined by narrow interpretations of religion and culture. For example, The Rukun Negara says, Faith In God (Kepercayaan Kpd Tuhan), does one need a religion to believe in God? Religion is something personal, it should take control of politics and people, It's a matter of one's heart, a freedom of choice and personal understanding. At the end of the day, God Is Love and the entire doctrine of Christianity revolves around Love & I am sure that Islam is not a religion of hate eventhough many Muslims promote hate and revenge just as many Christians do.

It would be rather ignorant to say that the LGBT community is a minority group, for those who wish to believe that it's a minority group is sure going or collapse due to ignorance. It is a huge population and a large portion of this huge population of LGBTs are high flying professionals who have been serving and will always be serving this country significantly and let me tell you that they have a choice of leaving to first world countries who would accept them with their sexuality, high end qualifications and experience.

This huge population of LGBTs are not a bunch of fools, infact they are more educated and financially sound compare to many self righteous pricks out there. This population is significantly huge that they can determine who wins and looses in the next General Election. Only a bigot would fail to see this, at the end of the day, Governance must be based on Universal Principles due to a simple fact that every citizen hold voting rights and no clear thinking citizen would vote for a government who would end up being his/her Moral Police, it's absolutely illogical! I vote you in, You sit in my life and monitor me & press down religion and culture into my throat???!!! Highly Nonsensical!!!

Cops quiz Ambiga, 3 others

KUALA LUMPUR: Police yesterday questioned Datuk Ambiga Sreenivasan along with three others over their involvement in the Seksualiti Merdeka festival.

Three police officers and a policeman arrived at 4pm at the Tenaganita headquarters in Petaling Jaya, and took 45 minutes to record the statements of the former Bar Council president, Tenaganita director Irene Fernandez, executive director of Empower, Maria Chin Abdullah, and festival co-founder Pang Khee Teik.It was reported that several other people, including members of non-governmental organisations, had been questioned by police.

Ambiga was invited by the organisers to launch the event, held annually since 2008 to celebrate the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

When met afterwards, Ambiga said she was concerned with the way the issue was being sensationalised."The LGBT community has faced persecution in the country and now, they are more vulnerable than before."

Pang, in thanking Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar for agreeing to meet them, said the event organiser had written a letter to the top cop, which was handed over to the officers who questioned them."We have suggested that we meet tomorrow (Tuesday), Wednesday or Thursday," he said. Also present was Sisters in Islam board member Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir.
