PETALING JAYA: Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s driver has lodged a police report claiming there were attempts to sabotage the car used by his boss.
Abdullah Sani Said, 52, who has been working for Anwar for 28 years, said this following the discovery that a pin bolt supporting the car’s disc brake was missing. “I was also told by the mechanic it was impossible for the bolt to have been dislodged without it being opened.
“The car is in good condition and since it is impossible for the bolt to fall on its own, I believe this was done by certain parties with the intention to hurt or kill Datuk Seri Anwar,” he alleged.
He lodged the report at the Tropicana police station around 4pm yesterday.
